Thamera Studio is a Hanoi-based studio specializing in Ao Dai rental, professional makeup and photography services for both local and international visitors.

Located at 98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, the studio is close to the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hanoi Center Shopping Mall and Hanoi Old Quarter. THE STORY BEHIND THAMERA

The name Thamera comes from a combination of “Thắm”, from founder Thắm Bùi, and “Camera”, the symbol of photography, memories and storytelling.

Before founding Thamera Studio, Thắm Bùi worked as a domestic tour guide in Vietnam. While traveling with guests across different destinations, she often helped capture memories using her phone. These simple moments gradually sparked a passion for photography and visual storytelling.

As her interest grew, Thắm began studying makeup artistry and photography at the same time. She believed that beautiful portraits come not only from technical photography skills but also from helping people feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera.

Over the years, she worked as a freelance makeup artist and photographer while building a trusted creative team in Hanoi. Before opening Thamera Studio, she collaborated with various Ao Dai shops and photography businesses, helping both Vietnamese and international visitors experience Vietnamese culture through traditional Ao Dai.

Many of the photos and videos created during this period gained significant attention on social media, reaching hundreds of thousands of views and helping introduce the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai to a wider audience.

Combining experience in tourism, makeup and photography, Thamera Studio was created to offer a complete Ao Dai experience, from outfit rental and styling to professional photography and cultural storytelling.

MEET THẮM BÙI

Thắm Bùi is the founder of Thamera Studio, a makeup artist, photographer and cultural experience creator based in Hanoi.

With a background in tourism, makeup and photography, she has helped thousands of visitors create memorable experiences while exploring Hanoi in traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai.

Her passion goes beyond creating beautiful photographs. She believes every photoshoot should tell a story, preserve genuine emotions and help visitors connect with Vietnamese culture in a meaningful way.

Today, she continues to lead Thamera Studio with a simple mission: helping every guest feel confident, comfortable and beautiful while creating memories that last a lifetime.
